Delightful place to stay - Rating 5/5

Well we had to come here due to a funeral during the covid-19 lockdown. I can't speak highly enough of our hosts. They were so polite, warm and friendly it was as though they were old friends. The place is spotless and has everything you could want on a stay. Add to that it's a beautiful location. The security is spot on with an electric gate to the car park and you have to come through a lobby to go to where you are staying. When we arrived there was even an Easter egg each for us. It really is the nicest place I've stayed and I must have stayed in at least one hundred places. It's not 5 star it's 6!

Decoy Barn - What a Gem - Rating 5/5

My wife and I were looking for an overnight stay to meet up with friends living in Norfolk, and found Decoy Barn online. Thanks to all of you who previously rated this B&B so highly;what a gem!We are fortunate to have several weekend breaks every year so we are well versed with short-stay accommodation, but this was something out of the ordinary. Immediately we could see have attractive the premises were and the furnishings throughout were of very high quality. We were warmly welcomed by the proprietorWe were shown to our garden room that was beautifully appointed, warm (the underfloor heating was on), and so spotlessly clean.Although there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room, we were provided with tea and lovely cakes, delivered to our room within a few minutes of our arrival. The kingsize bed &bedding, and the furnishings in the room, were again of high quality. We later pre-ordered our cooked breakfast by leaving our written requests in the dining room, although there was no need to pre-order, and turned in for the night. We enjoyed our lovely presented breakfast but, sadly, we didn't have time to linger. We found Decoy Barn to be far more inviting, cleaner and far better all round than many 'quality' hotels for a very good price. We look forward to returning when the weather is better and enjoy sitting on the decking with a a glass of wine to hand. Many thanks to John and Susannah.

Excellent place to stay - Rating 5/5

My wife &I have been visiting Decoy Barn B&B for many years now even with the previous owners and we are pleased to say that our stays have always been a pleasant experience. This year for the first time we took our two grandchildren (14 &11years) they had a great time and say they would love to come again next year.John &Suzanne are very friendly &welcoming, nothing too much trouble for them, tea or coffee with cakes served to your room/patio on arrival, that was a real surprise for the children. Breakfast is very varied served at your requested time, ordered on a tick card the previous evening, Bacon, eggs, sausage, even kippers with all the many other side additions &continental style items, what more can I say? Decoy Barn is equal &in many ways better than many top star rated hotels. We could go on for ever, the rooms, garden settings are excellent. We will be visiting them hopefully next year.

Such a lovely little find if you visit you won’t be disappointed- Rating 5/5

Decoy barn is a truly lovely place to stay.My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and I’m so glad we did. On the day of our anniversary we walked into our room to find a lovely box of chocolates from John and Suzanne the owners. On arrival even though we were early we were met by a smiling Suzanne who shows us to our room and then gave us hot drinks and muffins outside in the lovely gardens which are beautiful. The rooms are immaculately clean and feel so homely.Breakfast is amazing! There’s so much on offer to suit everyone. My husband had a full English each morning and was full until teatime.John was brilliant with offering advice about places to eat and where to visit. Which was a great help for us as it stopped us driving round all day and wasting the time we had there. We had a lovely day of boat driving, pub finds and seal spotting.I can not recommend decoy barn enough and we will most defiantly be coming back in the not so distant future.Thank you so much john and Suzanne for a lovely stay.

Restful holiday - Rating 5/5

We stayed at Decoy Barn for a week over Easter and was made very welcome by John and Suzanne. On arrival we were made a very needy drink after a long journey which came with muffins with a chocolate Easter chick on top.John and Suzanne could not do enough for you, anything you wanted you only had to ask and on returning to our room on Easter Sunday there were 2 chocolate eggs for us, a very nice thought. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day and the breakfasts are to die for..Would we stay there again? You bet we would. It's a shame we can only give it 5 stars as it deserves at least 6.

an excellent B&B choice - Rating 5/5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Decoy Barn. As we were two married couples the only very small drawback was having to share the bathroom, which was situated as an ensuite in one of the bedrooms, so using the bathroom in the night was a little inconvenient as the two in that bedroom would certainly be woken up! But it definitely wasn't a big issue for any of us and it was good to be sharing the accommodation and having our own little kitchenette. The breakfasts were excellent and we enjoyed our 'chats' with the very friendly owners. We would certainly stay there again and hope that one day we will. Mina Wood.

My husband and I have very recently enjoyed a wonderful one night spent at the beautiful Decoy Barn. The minute we arrived and settled into our room, we said we would love to come back again. Lots of wonderful little touches, from the welcome drinks and the lovely cakes, to the toiletries and the choice of fruity teas/teas/coffees in the room itself. The room was spotless, very homely and the bed really comfortable ( I don't sleep well normally but did the night we stayed. The gardens are truly beautiful, and can tell they are very well looked after. So peaceful and rerlaxing. Where do I start on the breakfast ?? It was sooo good. Wish I could eat it all over again today. Well done to you both for providing such beautiful surroundings, service and knowledge of the area. We really enjoyed our stay with you for our second wedding anniversary and we will definatly visit you again at some point in the future.

John and Suzanne were the most welcoming of hosts. Our room comfortable and very clean. A modern bathroom, tv and tea and coffee facilities. A beautiful patio area to sit in, especially when the sun shines! A very well kept garden. Breakfast was excellent with an excellent choice from cereals, fruit salad to a full cooked breakfast with toast. This accommodation is only 5 miles from Great Yarmouth and great for exploring other areas too. A boat trip on the broads is lovely. Norwich within easy reach. And some lovely pubs and restaurants close by too. All in all a lovely break in Norfolk, and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Or return to either. We were extremely impressed by the friendly and helpful owners, John and Suzanne and by the spotless accommodation, immaculate garden and lovely view. The full English was also wonderful. One of the things that make Decoy Barn so special are the little touches like fresh tea or coffee and cupcakes bought to your room on arrival, the hook behind the bathroom door, the range of teas, etc in the room. We thoroughly recommend Decoy Barn and would definitely stay there again if in the area. John and Suzanne clearly put their all into the service they provide and they deserve their success and excellent reviews.

Wonderful... - Rating 5/5

Decoy Barn, is a cut above you're average B&B. There is nothing average about Decoy Barn. It is a lovely place to stay. Rooms are tastefully furnished and lots of attention to detail. Everywhere warm and cosy, which was appreciated as weather was cold and wet when we stayed there. Always plenty of hot water and cleanliness is to a high standard, in all areas. Breakfast was scrummy and varied. The garden is secluded and in summer would be a lovely place to pass a few hours, with a glass of wine and a good book.Nothing was to much trouble for, John and Sue, John even made a booking for us at a local restaurant and like Decoy Barn wasalso excellent...I honestly can not think of anything at Decoy Barn that they could improve on. And lastly, for somewhere so good it was certainly value for money...We shall be visiting Decoy Barn again, but just pray for better weather...
